The all-new Honda City sedan will make its European debut at this October’s Istanbul Motor Show in Turkey. Honda’s new subcompact sedan, which shares several design elements with the upcoming Insight Hybrid (see here), is based on the platform of the new Jazz / Fit. Depending on the market, the City will be offered with a 120 HP 1.5-liter i-VTEC or/and a 100 HP 1.4-liter i-VTEC matted to a 5-speed manual or an automatic gearbox with the option of steering wheel mounted paddles.

One of our readers from Germany, Christian, has come up with a photoshop rendering depicting what the production version of last year’s CR-Z hybrid concept may look like when Honda introduces it in the market sometime between late-2009 and mid-2010. While retaining the CR-Z concept’s body, Christian toned down the front end’s appearance and added a set of Civic Type-R alloy wheels. We’ll leave it to you to decide whether or not Christian’s rendering has hit the spot.

Bet you never thought you’d see a Honda Civic IMA Hybrid in the air like the one in featured in the picture above. Of course, this isn’t your ordinary hybrid but a race prepped version of the eco-friendly Civic created by Oaktec. The Lancashire based company has been developing the Honda Hybrid system for motorsport since 2004. Oaktec took part in several rallies around the UK winning the F1000 Class A Championship in 2006 with a Honda Insight. Now Oaktec has joined forces with Lotus to develop the performance of a Civic Hybrid for rallying and circuit racing.

The very first official photos of the revised 2009 Honda Element unceremoniously hit the web today. Expected to hit U.S. dealerships this fall, the 2009 Element obtains Honda’s new corporate grille which was first seen in the redesigned Pilot crossover along with larger, wraparound headlamps and a newly styled front bumper. At the rear-end, the facelifted Element features a new set of tail lamps, a redesigned fifth door with more angular crests and a slightly revised bumper.

As North American consumers rapidly change their tastes moving towards passenger cars with smaller displacement and more fuel efficient engines, automakers are forced to alter their plans shifting production to help keep factories busy. Honda on its behalf announced that it will move the majority of V6 Accord production to Lincoln, Alabama from Marysville, Ohio by mid-2009 and trim scheduled output of Odyssey minivans and Pilot sport-utility vehicles in Lincoln by an additional 22,000 units.

Before we get into any details let us start off by telling you that the Japanese domestic market (JDM) Odyssey minivan is a different model than the one sold in the States. What you see here is the forth-generation JDM Odyssey which will go on sale in Japan tomorrow, October 17 with Honda claiming that it will be able to push out around 4,000 units per month in the domestic market.

Believe it or not, a whole month has past since the first photos of the facelifted Element unceremoniously hit the web -see here, but the leak didn’t prevent Honda from sticking to its original plan that was to release the official data on the car at the end of October. For 2009, Honda has enhanced the Element’s exterior styling with subtle changes that include a new bumper design and front grille inspired from the redesigned Pilot SUV, restyled front fenders which are made from metal instead of composite materials, a new hood design, squared wheel arches, and new headlight and taillight configurations.

We don’t know why but Honda has been somewhat quiet about its 2008 SEMA show offerings. One of the vehicles that will make their first appearance at the company’s show booth is the 2009 Fit Tjin Edition designed by Gene Tjin. Key features of the 2009 Fit Tjin Edition include the blue-grey paint job, the subtle bodykit, the addition of a Webasto sunroof and a set of old-school BBS alloy wheels.

Much to the rejoice of lackluster-styling car fans, Honda has introduced a new-generation of its dwarf-sized Life minicar. The new model will go on sale in Japan on 7 November, 2008 priced from 945,000 Yen or with the current exchange rates, $9,650 U.S. Honda plans on selling around 13,000 units of the Life a month. The Japanese automaker’s revamped proposal in the Kei car segment will be offered with a 660cc, 3-cylinder engine available in both naturally aspirated and turbocharger forms and mated excursively to a 4-speed automatic transmission.

It’s actually quite ironic that automakers and tuners alike go into all that trouble preparing vehicles for the SEMA Show but somehow forget to release any details on their project cars. One such example is Honda’s Galpin Accord Coupe. Due to the lack of any official information whatsoever, we can only tell you about what we see in the pictures and that is that the Accord Coupe has been accessorized with a full aerokit, a carbon fiber hood and trunk lid, large alloy wheels with ultra-low profile tires, a rear wing and massive exhaust pipes.
